Executive Director, Royal Commission for AlUla signing the MOU at the Future Investment Initiative, Riyadh

The Royal Commission for AlUla has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA) to activate horseracing and enhance equine welfare in AlUla, reinforcing the county`s role as a hub for equestrian excellence in alignment with AlUla Vision, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The MoU covers the design and development of horse racing and training facilities in AlUla, supported by JCSA’s expertise in racing operations, programme planning and regulatory best practices.
It also includes collaboration with the The Equine Hospital in Riyadh to advance veterinary care, farriery services and equine welfare standards, while providing workforce training and professional development opportunities for local talent.
Through this partnership, RCU and JCSA will work together to establish AlUla as a destination for horseracing at national, regional and global levels.
The initiative will enhance the quality of life for AlUla’s residents by creating new sporting and training opportunities, while also attracting investment and strengthening the local equestrian ecosystem.
This collaboration builds on RCU’s broader efforts to position AlUla as a world-class destination for equestrian sport, culture, and tourism, ensuring meaningful opportunities for the community and long-term sustainability in accordance with AlUla Vision and Saudi Vision 2030.
